The figures nobody shows you, the few things that genuinely help before six months, and an honest explanation of why we won't sell you a sleep programme yet.
Before around six months, your baby's sleep is still being built. Their body clock only starts forming at around ten to twelve weeks, and night waking at this stage isn't a habit that has set in. It is how their sleep works, and they usually still need feeding overnight.
None of the settling approaches in our paid programme have been tested in babies under six months. Not one. There is also a meta-analysis of nine randomised trials covering more than 1,600 mother-infant pairs which found no evidence that behavioural sleep intervention in the first six months reduces how often infants wake.
So we're not going to sell you a method the evidence doesn't support at your baby's age. What we can give you is the part that does work before six months, and it's free.
We use your baby's date of birth only to send information appropriate to their age. Unsubscribe any time.
